Chipangali is one of the fifteen districts in Eastern Province of Zambia It was made independent from Chipata district in 2018. It is located 320.46’ 0” and 130,10’,0”.
Chipangali has the following bordering districts: Lumezi to the north, Mambwe to the north- west, Kasenengwa south-west, Chipata to the south and an international boundary with Malawi to the east.
The area for Chipangali district is about 2,453.47 Square Kilometres, with a population (CSO 2022) of 169, 357 whose growth is currently at 2.7%.
